Those who are going to the International CES Conference next week in Las Vegas, Nevada, may run into someone from Kansas City, Kan.
The conference will highlight the promise and future of technology through innovative startups and entrepreneurs.
Former Mayor Joe Reardon is scheduled to be a panelist Jan. 6 at the convention, discussing “The Future of Unlimited Bandwidth.” The panel is discussing innovative products and services requiring ultra-high bandwidth and how they are providing future proof capacity to consumers.
Reardon is an attorney with the McAnany, Van Cleave and Phillips law firm in Kansas City, Kan.
And Janelle Monae, a graduate of Schlagle High School in Kansas City, Kan., is scheduled to be honored as “Breakthrough Music Artist” at the CES Conference. A songwriter, performer and producer, her album, “The ArchAndroid,” was released in 2010, winning a Grammy nomination, and her album, “The Electric Lady,” was released in 2013.
According to a news release, the annual CES conference is sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association. The conference is officially known as the International CES, not the Consumer Electronics Show.
