The Cerner office complex building project at I-70 and I-435 in Kansas City, Kan., was the top project by far of all local economic development projects during 2012 in Kansas City, Kan.
According to figures from the Unified Government’s research division about nonresidential building permits, the Cerner project’s construction value in Kansas City, Kan., totaled $69,349,457 in 2012.
The figures included three building permits, grading for the new office building in January 2012, architecture and shell of the building in February and Phase 2 of the building project starting last September, according to UG documents.
The Cerner project is expected to bring thousands of jobs to Wyandotte County.
